FAQ

  • What are your studio hours?

Our studio is open 7am - 9pm to accommodate all creators' needs. For the best natural indoor lighting, the space gets beautiful window light from around 9am to 3pm, dependent on current sunset time.

  • What is the studio policy?

We understand that accidents happen, and while our space is all white, we regularly maintain it—so a skid here and there is completely normal and should never limit your creativity. We ask that all guests treat the space with respect and love and we will continue to maintain the white clean space on our end as well with fresh coats of paint when needed.

  • How do I access the studio?

All bookings will receive a one time access code for their booking period that gets them into the studio door by using the electronic key lock on the door. You’ll receive an email prior to your booked studio time that includes your access code, parking information, and a friendly reminder of studio policy.

  • What if I need to cancel my studio reservation?

All bookings are non-refundable, but you will be able to rebook your time slot for another day within 6 months from your original booking date so long as you email the studio of your request to cancel within 48 hours prior to your booking reservation.

  • Can I bring in my own props?

Guests are welcome to bring any props, decor, furniture, or lighting into the studio, but please ensure your booked time includes setup and cleanup. We do have elevator access as well.

  • Is there a bathroom available?

There are two bathrooms outside of the studio space. For outfit changes we have a changing curtain area behind the studio door that can be utilized as well.

  • What props are already at the studio?

The studio has a set of 2 stacking half-round pedestals, a clear chair, a curved rattan chair, black leather chair, and a queen bed with rattan headboard*

  • How big is your studio space?

This is a 300 sq ft space. We recommend having one wide angle lens in your kit to accommodate full body shots. Our most popular lens choices are 50mm, 35mm, and below.

  • What lighting system do you have accessible in studio?

Godox SL60II BI-COLOR (This gives you the flexibility of dimmable cool and warm light)

    Phillips Hue Overhead Lighting

  • How is parking for the studio?

Our photography studio is located in downtown Hillsboro on Main Street, above Insomnia Coffee. Free 2-hour parking is available along Main Street and throughout downtown Hillsboro. You also have the option to park in either of our 2 private parking spaces behind the studio (one for photographer and one for client). You'll receive parking details in your confirmation email after booking.

  • Can I bring pets into the studio?

Pets need to be approved prior to bringing them into the studio. We love to be as accommodating as possible, but this policy will vary depending on current studio installs. Pets must be leashed while in the building.

  • Is there anything I need to do when checking out of the studio?

There is a short checklist that is near the door to the studio that we kindly ask you to look over prior to exiting the studio.

  • Is there a changing area in the studio?

Yes! Right behind the door we have a curtain that swings over as a changing area and also includes a mirror on the wall. For more space access our bathrooms down the hall.

  • How do I pay for my booking?

We currently accept payments through Square. Once we have confirmed your booking request, you will receive an email including an invoice and further instructions on how to complete your payment.

  • Can I cancel my monthly access pass?

Monthly access passes are not a recurring payment. Your payment includes 6 hours of studio time and any remaining hours cannot be rolled over past the end date of your monthly pass. We encourage photographers that are unable to fill those hours with clients to use any remaining hours for building your portfolio and creative shoots. Hours cannot be transferred to other photographers.
